To know your calling is to know why you’re here. This space was created to help you nurture that knowing—and walk it out with intention.
Welcome to Cultivate Your Calling—a weekly publication where strategy meets heart & soul, where creativity and storytelling are pathways to more impact, and where God-given purpose is the only point.
I’m Nakia—a writer, professional ghostwriter, author consultant, a down-to-the-smallest-detail creative strategist gal, recovering perfectionist (ha), empath, and mom. My husband, DM, is a visionary with range: minister, music artist, people-gardener (meaning he has a knack for growing people), disrupter of common ideas, big-picture thinker, and dad to our beautiful baby girl.
Together, we help water the greatness already planted in people. We’ve spent over a decade partnering with entrepreneurs, authors, businesses, and organizations to bring callings to fruition—and we’ve seen over and over again: clarity of narrative changes everything.
Why we’re here
This publication is our way of shaping the narrative around calling (threaded through business and life). We explore how to discover or align with your purpose, stay rooted in your path, remain relevant in your field, and always be true to the work you were designed to do.
We believe growth is first an inner experience (introspection), regardless of outside noise, and then it’s an outward expression that impacts the world around us.
